Loomwire Support
Help with Loomwire, the as-built recorder for electricians and low-voltage integrators.
Loomwire records what was actually installed: panels and breakers, powered equipment, and network gear (ports, VLANs, and links). Issue a baseline revision of the plan, then record changes on site. Loomwire keeps a change log, compares as-built to plan, draws a map of how things connect, and exports a PDF. Everything stays on your iPhone or iPad. There is no account.
Contact
Email help@save-apps.com with “Loomwire” in the subject line. We aim to reply within one to two business days.
Please include your device model, iOS version, and Loomwire version if you are reporting a problem. The version is at the bottom of Loomwire’s Settings (the person icon on the Jobs screen). Please don’t include passwords or sensitive client details in screenshots.

Getting started
Where are Loomwire’s settings and help links?
Tap the person icon at the top left of the Jobs screen. Settings has your name for change records, the notice about what a Loomwire record is, and rows for Support, Privacy Policy, Contact Support (opens an email to help@save-apps.com), and Version.
How do I start a job?
On the Jobs screen, tap +, enter a job name (client, job number, and site are optional), and choose how the job starts: with a plan you will baseline, or as-found if you are documenting what already exists. Two sample jobs, Smith Residence and Chen ADU, are included on first launch so you can look around.
What are Electrical, Low voltage, and Network?
They are the three sections of a job. Electrical holds panels and breakers. Low voltage holds equipment such as processors, keypads, and power supplies. Network holds VLANs, cable links, and devices with ports.
How do I enter amps and spaces without lots of tapping?
Counts such as main breaker amps and panel spaces open a short list of common values. If yours isn’t listed, choose “Type a number…” to use a number pad.
How do I show what powers a piece of equipment?
Open the equipment and use “Powered from” to choose the breaker that feeds it.
Planned vs as-built
What is a baseline?
Issuing a revision (the ••• menu on a job) freezes the current panels, equipment, VLANs, and links as the plan. Edits after that are recorded as changes against it.
What does Compare show?
Changed, Added in the field, Removed (not built), and Unverified items, each with what was planned and what is recorded now.
What is the change log?
Open ••• → Change log on a job. After a baseline, edits record what changed, when, the name from Settings, and an optional reason and note. If you type a value and then put the original back, no change is logged.
What are the colors on the map and in Compare?
Amber: changed. Blue: added. Red, dashed: not built. Gray: not checked yet. Green: matches the plan.
Photos
How do I attach a photo?
Photos attach to a specific breaker or piece of equipment. Open the item and use Library or Camera. The first time you use Camera, iOS asks for permission. Photos are stored on your device and are included in the PDF change report when they are linked to a change.
Exporting a PDF
- Open the job.
- Tap Export PDF in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
- The iOS share sheet opens. Choose Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Save to Files, or another destination.
The PDF includes the panel schedules, equipment schedule, network list, and the change report, with the disclaimer in the footer of every page. A PDF leaves your device only when you choose a destination in the share sheet.
Map
Tap Map on a job to see feeds from panels to breakers to equipment, and network links between devices. The map updates as you add or edit items. In this version it is a simple column layout; wire routing and port-level detail are planned.
Data, privacy, and backups
Where is my data?
On your device. Loomwire has no account and no server, and we never receive your jobs or photos. See the Privacy Policy.
Does Loomwire sync between devices?
Not yet. Your jobs are on the device where you entered them. Moving to a new device through an iCloud or computer backup restore brings them with it, subject to your backup settings.
Does Loomwire store passwords?
No. The “Credential reference” field is for a note about where a password is kept (for example “1Password · Smith Residence”). Please don’t type the password itself.
How do I delete a job’s data?
Delete a whole job by swiping it left in the job list, or by opening the job and choosing ••• → Delete job. Loomwire asks you to confirm, and deleting removes that job’s panels, equipment, photos, and change log from your device. You can also delete individual breakers and equipment inside a job. Deleting Loomwire from your device removes all of its data.
Troubleshooting
Loomwire opens empty or says it couldn’t open saved jobs.
Force-quit and reopen the app. If it persists, email us before deleting the app, because deleting removes your jobs. In a test build with no data you need to keep, deleting and reinstalling clears it.
The Camera button is missing.
Camera isn’t available on devices without a camera, or if camera access is turned off. Check Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → Loomwire. You can always attach from Library.
I don’t see my photos.
Photos you choose through Library are copied into Loomwire at the moment you pick them. Photos are attached to the item you picked them from, not to the job as a whole.
Disclaimer
